Sacrament of Confirmation

Congratulations to the Year 6 students who completed their Sacrament of Confirmation and their final initiation into the Catholic Faith on Saturday 27th May. It was a respectful Mass where students, families, friends and parishioners gathered to witness this special event in their lives.

It was a pleasure to observe the reverence of the congregation and listen to the homily of Bishop Patrick asking everyone to call on the Holy Spirit in the simplest way with three simple words…Come Holy Spirit. This is a beautiful, simple prayer we can all say at any time of the day or night. Thank you to all students and families for preparing for this Sacrament so willingly and respectfully.

To Mr. Vermeer a big thank you for all the hard work in the classroom in readiness for the day.

Bernie Hance REL Confirmation 2017

On Saturday the 27th of May, most of the grade 6s made their Confirmation. We had to get to the hall foyer with our sponsors at 10:00 am for a 10:30 am start. We all came dressed up stunningly and looked fantastic. We were all very nervous, but Bishop Patrick was very nice and helped to calm us.
We learnt a new pray from Bishop Patrick which was only 3 words. It was 'Come Holy Spirit'. After that we all got called up for the laying on of hands. We also got oil on our foreheads. The oil smelt nice and was filled with myrrh.
