Over the past few years, there has been a growing interest in robotics and construction amongst the students at St James. The students have been working through courses and incursions involving Lego construction with robotics over the last couple of years. But now the students have the chance to use this learning technology on a more regular basis.
This year the school applied for Maker Project grant to purchase Lego construction kits and the school was successful in the application. The students now have access to a range of Lego kits, including Simple Machines, Powered Mechanisms and EV3 Robotics kits. The students were very keen to see the new purchases when they arrived recently and are already looking forward to the great learning ahead.
