On Friday 2nd September St James welcomed all dads to school for a Father's’ Day morning. This is always a special occasion and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the role models the children have in their lives. The morning began nice and early with a cuppa and an egg and bacon roll for breaky. The school community then gathered together to celebrate further with a beautiful Mass. At St James the children love singing and getting involved and engaging in the Mass and this particular day they did not disappoint; they surely did their dads proud. The Mass concluded with quotes from the children with thoughts about their dad; always good for a laugh or an ‘awww’ moment.
This day just gets better and better for the children as it was also Footy Day. The children all dressed up in their favourite team’s football colours and enjoyed a parade and football activities throughout the day.
