Book Week

It is that time of year again for characters to come alive at St James during the annual Book Week Dress up Day. Lots of preparation, thought and creativity goes into the costumes for the day resulting in an extravaganza of ‘dress ups and op shop outfits’ to represent characters ranging from Dr Seuss stories, Harry/Harriet Potter and Where’s Wally to Anne Frank, motorbike riders and superheroes. To show off these efforts the school children joined together with the Playgroup in a character parade run by the grade 6 leaders. This is a fun day that brings the community together to celebrate and encourage a love of reading and an enjoyment of stories.
